I occasionally listen to 118.1mhz, the KTOL control tower frequency.  Starting last week, while monitoring at work (over the computer linked scanner website I ran across), I heard what sounded like a one of the city road repair crews, talking about repairs they were doing on Bancroft!  Thought, wow, this guy must have mis-programmed the scanner and it's picking up things it shouldn't be!  Was pretty fuzzy, so I knew it wasn't too close to where the scanner antenna is located.

Today, just this morning, at home, I fired up my own scanner and picked up the same thing!  Once again, road crews talking about road repairs on the KTOL control tower frequency!  And they sounded VERY close too!  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to snag any details.  If anyone DOES pickup some details, at a minimum the FCC should know, and probably the FAA as well.  It's definitely NOT a good thing to have the wrong people on the control tower frequency!  KTOL may not have tons of commercial flights, but they keep reasonably busy with freight, charter, private, and military flights!
