The MR2 sprang a coolant leak today.  Why?  Well, I guess because the Eclipse didn't!

Checked the car out in the early morning since I had a good deal of driving to do during the day.  Everything looks good.  Had to add a few lbs of air to the tires, but that's normal for my OEM alloy wheels.  Went out to eat with my Dad (in his car) and when we get back there's suddenly a pool of coolant under my car in the front!

Pulled the upper radiator cover off and checked the front hose clamps.  Dry and tight.  Ugh, it's one of the rears, which are not fun to try and reach.  Jack up the car, reach up under there and find that the passenger side clamp is dry and tight.  However, the driver side rear clamp is not only leaking, but is incredibly loose, taking several turns to tighten up!  How this happens (and just on ONE out of 4 clamps that were all installed at exactly the same time), I don't know.

PLEASE, someone tell me how to get hose clamps to STAY on a car!  I'd hate to have to junk both these cars just because they both have this weird coolant hose clamp backing off problem!  Other than that, they both run absolutely perfect right now!
